Liverpool are reportedly again growing interest in OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram and are ready to lock horns with Juventus.
The Anfield giants are currently cruising in fine form in both the domestic league and European league.
The club thrashed Austrian side LASK 4-0 in a UEL clash with ease last Thursday in the most Liverpool fashion.
In a rather exciting match against Fulham last Sunday, the Reds made an unbelievable comeback from being 3-2 down to win 4-3.
Moreover, the team registered the win in the last minutes of stoppage time as Wataru Endo scored the leveller and Trent Alexander-Arnold volleyed in the winner.
As things currently stand, the Merseysiders stand 2nd in the PL points table with 31 points after 14 games. They are currently 2 points off of the table toppers Arsenal and 1 point clear of bitter rivals Manchester City.
With the winter transfer window nearing, LFC will try to bolster the already solid team to give them the solidity in the second half of the season.
Liverpool are in race for Khephren Thuram with Juventus
The main focus for the Reds would be to strengthen the defense with new signings. As seen quite a few times this season, the defense has looked a bit sloppy in stopping opposition attacks.
The club will also focus on signing a replacement for Mohamed Salah who could potentially leave Anfield in 2024. However, even after an extensive midfield rebuild, the Merseysiders are still lacking a proper no. 6.
Although Wataru Endo has been good in some instances, he is still not at the top level. As a result, the Anfield club is looking into some options to fill the gap vacated by Fabinho.
As per a report via Corriere Torino on Monday, Liverpool are again eyeing a transfer for French midfielder Khephren Thuram. The Merseyside club already tried to sign him this summer but it did not go through.
The report has also suggested that Juventus are also interested in the OGC Nice midfielder. Thuram is ‘priced at €35-40m’ by Nice, who ‘are negotiating’ with Liverpool regarding a deal.
But the Reds have the upper hand here as the Italian giants have to sell some players to accumulate all the funds to complete this deal.
If LFC can secure the deal this January, they will have an even better team to challenge for the title.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
