Liverpool managed to stay in the top 2 after their dramatic victory against Marco Silva’s Fulham last night, as they came back to win 4-3.
The Reds were heading to a loss in the 80th minute as the London side took a shock lead for the first time in the match.
Two stunning goals from Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold made sure Klopp’s men came away with all 3 points.
Liverpool equalized twice, one due to a Bernd Leno own goal and the other was an Alexis Mac Allister screamer. This has kept their record intact as they have lost only one of their last 25 games.
Moments from Liverpool Fulham game
It is safe to say that the Reds had one of the best final 5 minutes of football that they’ve played. This gave us a lot of special moments which would have gone unnoticed.
There was an amusing moment as Liverpool players celebrated wildly in front of the Kop after the Trent winner. Kostas Tsimikas grabbed a nearby steward with both hands and shook him wildly.
After the initial shock, the smiles on the Anfield employee at becoming embroiled in such a memorable moment suggest he didn’t mind so much.
Moreover, Darwin Nunez celebrated differently as he ran to the Liverpool dugout. He embraced Dominik Szoboszlai and then Jurgen Klopp, showing how much it meant to him.
Meanwhile, there was a tussle for possession between Ibrahim Konate and Carlos Vinicius. This resulted in a throw-in for the London side which was a decision that was debated by the Frenchman.
Meanwhile, on the touchline, Klopp was fuming with the decision by the ref to award a throw-in against them.
Moreover, in the first half, there was an amusing passage of play as Liverpool probed for a second goal.
With Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno having cleared into touch, the Reds were keen on a quick restart from the resultant throw-in.
But seconds after play continued, the original ball booted into the stands and reappeared on to the pitch towards Salah. This caused a bit of confusion but the Egyptian managed to control both balls expertly.
