Liverpool are ‘serious’ about bringing the Nice midfielder, Khephren Thuram, in this January transfer window, which shows a massive statement of intent.
The Anfield side wants to sign a long-term holding midfielder this January, which could win the league.
The Merseysiders have been tracking Thuram for quite a while now. Moreover, they came close to signing the Frenchman alongside his fellow countryman, Manu Kone.
However, Klopp decided otherwise and went in for Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Wataru Endo.
But with the Reds sitting on top of the PL table, they need proper reinforcements in every department.
Although the midfield looks sorted right now, the Reds have not entirely replaced the departed Fabinho. Hence, it seems that Thuram would be an ideal fit for the departed Brazilian.
Liverpool looking to sign Khephren Thuram
As Per Calciomercato, Liverpool is serious about signing the 22-year-old this January.
The Reds have performed well without a proper defensive midfielder. But their quest to win every competition they’re alive in would need more squad depth.
Moreover, Thuram looks like a perfect fit for Klopp who has a strong and physical presence on the ball. He has excellent skills in protecting the ball and could be the successor of Fabinho in the most accurate form.
The midfielder is valued at €40m and could be worth the money if Liverpool could get the best out of him. He could play in the deep-lying position, ultimately giving Mac Allister more freedom. Since the Argentine has thrived in the attacking midfield role, it would be a massive plus for Klopp’s men to utilize him there.
Moreover, he could combine with the lethal Szoboszlai and give an excellent option for Klopp. Hence, signing Thuram would not be a bad idea, and it is now up to the Liverpool hierarchy.
