Curtis Jones and Ryan Gravenberch have not been spotted in the Kirkby ahead of Liverpool vs Toulouse in France today.
A win for the Reds today would see them through to the knockout stages of the competition. Having won all of their 3 games, Klopp could expect an easier affair for the Reds in the South of France.
However, they might be without some of their key midfielders. As we know, Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic are already sidelined due to their long-term injuries.
Gravenberch and Jones not spotted in Liverpool training
Meanwhile, Ryan Gravenberch was not spotted with the rest of the squad in training. The 21-year-old featured for 82 minutes in last Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Luton Town.
Moreover, he has started 4 of Liverpool’s last 5 games in the league. But the Dutchman was not seen in Kirkby in Liverpool training and it is still unclear whether he would be available for the clash.
Also, Curtis Jones was not involved in the training session. The academy product recently served a three-match Premier League suspension and was able to be involved against Luton. But Jones was not at risk because of a minor fitness issue.
Liverpool might be taking a cautious approach with the Englishman, given his niggling injury problems last season. Meanwhile, Andy Robertson continues his recovery.
Youngsters to be involved
Klopp has previously used the UEL as an opportunity to give game-time to his youngsters.
In the 5-1 romp over Toulouse at Anfield, Luke Chambers made his full debut while Calum Scanlon and James McConnell came off the bench for respective bows.
Ben Doak will also be hoping to impress at the senior level yet again. He missed the previous encounter with Toulouse because of injury but could get his latest opportunity, having caught the eye this term.
