Liverpool and Fluminese midfielder Andre Trindade apparently have a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between them which will ensure he signs for the Reds.
The Anfield giants are putting in their best efforts to secure a defensive-midfield signing this January.
Even though they underwent a midfield rehaul this summer, they could not sign a replacement of Fabinho.
So in this winter transfer window, they will be going all in to sign a no. 6 player. And their top priority would be Fluminese midfielder, Andre Trindade. The Brazilian midfielder has been on the Reds target list for quite a few months now.
Although they tried to sign him this summer, his club decided to keep him in the club till January. This decision has paid off with a Copa Libertadores title victory. And now the club will be more than willing to let go of him.
Liverpool have ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with Andre Trindade
Although the Anfield giants have been a frontrunner to sign the 22-year-old since this summer, latest report suggested that Fulham have emerged as the strongest candidate.
However, according to an X (Twitter) update by Francois Plateau, LFC could still sign Andre this January. He tweeted,
“Some sources indicate that André Trindade has a gentleman’s agreement with Liverpool and intends to join the club in January after speaking to Jürgen Klopp.”
The Merseysiders are great at negotiations even though they failed this summer to complete any of their desired defensive-midfielder signing. And Jurgen Klopp is a master of convincing players to play for the club.
Liverpool are a club that not only hands out the opportunity to play at the top level of club football but also provides opportunities for personal growth. So it will not be hard for the Brazilian to choose the right club for himself.
The club can expect to complete the deal successfully. And even though it does not work out, the club is looking at several viable options.
