Liverpool FC, famed for their strategic transfer tactics, are reportedly eyeing up a daring swoop for Omar Marmoush, hailed as the ‘Mohamed Salah 2.0.’
Priced at a hefty £52 million, Marmoush has become a top priority for Liverpool as they seek to upgrade their attacking arsenal for the forthcoming campaign.
Throughout this season Liverpool’s forwards have faced criticism for their lack of sharpness in front of goal. The club’s recruitment team led by Michael Edwards, is working on injecting fresh talents into the squad.
Marmoush has an adaptable playing style and he can operate across the front three. He also fits the bill and ticks all the boxes perfectly for Liverpool.
Currently an Eintracht Frankfurt player Omar Marmoush has been in red-hot form. He has netted 17 impressive goals in just 27 Bundesliga appearances. He has 22 goal involvements in 39 matches this season.
This standout performance has not gone unnoticed as both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in his signature as per German outlet BILD.

Why Marmoush?
The 25-year-old has been dubbed as ‘the new Mo Salah’. Drawing parallels between Marmoush and Salah is unavoidable, given their Egyptian roots and attacking position.
But unlike the fifth highest scorer in the Reds’ history, he plays primarily as a centre-forward.
Marmoush has not achieved the scoring level of Salah. But be honest- very few players have. His return rate is broadly similar to Liverpool’s current forward Darwin Nunez.
Marmoush: 16 goals in 2,964 minutes
Darwin Nunez: 18 goals in 2,992 minutes
Cody Gakpo: 15 goals in 2,860 minutes
Marmoush : Necessary For Liverpool?
Hailing from Egypt, Marmoush has already earned 29 caps for the national team at just 25 years old, highlighting his international pedigree.
Prior to Frankfurt he has an impressive background in German football. Marmoush has seasoned experience from his time at clubs like Wolfsburg and Stuttgart.
Although Marmoush’s hefty price tag might raise eyebrows, Edwards, known for his wizardry in negotiations, could work his magic to secure a beneficial deal for Liverpool.
The prospect of Darwin Nunez or Cody Gakpo departing could amplify the need for a centre-forward’s addition. Bringing Marmoush on board could breathe fresh life into Liverpool’s attacking department.
Can the Eintracht marksman follow in the footsteps of his Egypt teammate? Let’s see…
