Liverpool are considering signing Algerian striker and Union Saint-Gilloise player Mohamed Amoura as the potential replacement for outbound Darwin Nunez.
Arne Slot‘s Anfield takeover after the end of this season has already sparked many conversations in the footballing world.
The CEO of football Michael Edwards has identified the Feyenoord manager as the adequate replacement for outbound Jurgen Klopp.
The Dutchman will be bringing some major changes into the club this summer as many of the existing backroom staff and players are ready to leave the Merseysiders.
Slot has already created a buzz around the potential future of Darwin Nunez at the club. The Uruguayan striker has deleted all Liverpool-related pictures from his Instagram account after thorough criticism and online abuse from fans and pundits alike.
Nunez was even reportedly spotted in Barcelona, adding to the speculations of him moving to Camp Nou. Journalist Miguel Delaney of the Independent spoke about this and said,
“It’s obviously a big red flag if someone deletes photos that indicate their connection to the club. Darwin Nunez has become a cult hero among Liverpool fans, and there’s clearly a player there.
There’s also a lot of frustration there. When reading between the lines it wouldn’t be a complete surprise if they moved him on, given that he came into the club in a summer that was perceived as having upheaval behind the scenes. He was considered Klopp’s man.”
🚨 Darwin Núñez would be open to join Barcelona if Robert Lewandowski leaves.

Liverpool To Sign Mohamed Amoura
According to a new report via French media outlet L’Equipe, the Reds are eager to sign Union Saint-Gilloise striker Mohamed Amoura.
Arne Slot seems to like the player and thinks he would be a good replacement for Nunez should the Reds’ no. 9 leave.
The Algerian international is a 5ft 6in striker who impressed LFC officials while playing against them in the league stage games of the Europa League as he scored a goal and assisted a goal in the reverse fixture.
Since joining the Belgian club last summer, the 23-year-old has registered 41 appearances for the side while scoring 22 goals and providing six assists across all competitions (stats correct as of 09.05.24) (stats via Transfermarkt).
The pacey striker is valued at €20M (£17M) by Union SG and is being targeted by Brighton and Tottenham as well.
Considering Amoura’s price, Liverpool could consider taking the calculated risk of signing him to bolster their attacking ranks even if Nunez does not leave.
