Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has impressed England U-21 national team coaches with his shooting display in training yesterday.
The international break has caused a standstill for club football. But it is certainly not devoid of action and entertainment for the fans.
The England national team has already been putting in great performances in the international friendlies.
And their subordinates, the England U-21 team are also producing awe-inspiring results which are worth talking about.
The Three Lions thrashed Serbia U-21 team 9-1 in the UEFA EURO U-21 qualification match the previous week on October 13.
A Merseyside youngster shined again in the match. Reds midfielder Harvey Elliott scored 2 goals and assisted 1. And he continues to amaze everyone in training.
Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott impresses England coaches
The English midfielder has impressed England national team coaches in training on Sunday. In a video posted on England’s official YouTube channel, the U-21 team was training for their clash against Ukraine U-21 on October 16.
Elliott was practicing shots in the training and he converted a perfect first touch into an impressive finish. And one of the England coaches commented
“Good. Brilliant. That’s the level.”
Later he was seen signing shirts of some young fans while the team was leaving the field.
Although the young midfielder has not broken into Jurgen Klopp’s first-11, the German has always trusted him as a replacement in critical situations.
Moreover, the 20-year-old has the ability and potential to break into the Reds starting line-up.
However, his way into the first-11 will not be very easy as he would have to face competition from the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Curtis Jones who are also young and have a better foothold regarding a starting position.
But it is safe to say that Harvey Elliott has a massive future ahead of him and he will break into Klopp’s team-sheet in the near future.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
