Liverpool ‘very close’ to agreement for next target after Szoboszlai, as ‘crazy offer’ is revealed

Liverpool might be closing in on a deal for Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, soon after Dominik Szoboszlai signing, as per new reports.

The Anfield giants are getting their business done quickly and earlier this summer. They signed Alexis Mac Allister as their first signing of the season. The Argentine moved to Anfield for £35M.

And recently Fabrizio Romano confirmed the second signing for Liverpool. The Reds signed Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig for £60M.

The club released players who have been significant for the club. The Merseysiders saw James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita leave Anfield.

Ryan Gravenberch to follow Dominik Szoboszlai to Liverpool?

But Sports journalist Ben Jacobs has suggested that the Reds are still “in the market” for French midfielder Khephren Thuram. Even when the arrival of Dominik Szoboszlai has been confirmed.

However, Spanish media outlet Fichajes recently published an article. It claimed that Liverpool are very close to reaching a transfer agreement with Bayern Munich for the Dutch midfielder.

The report also mentioned that the English side have made a ‘crazy offer’ for the youngster although the fee remains a secret. The rumoured price tag for him is around €25M so it is difficult to imagine how crazy the offer is.

Gravenberch joined the Bavarians last summer from Dutch side Ajax and it has not been a very pleasant experience for the 21-year-old. He failed to earn his spot in the team and even after a manager change, his situation did not improve.

The rumours circling around him leaving the Bundesliga winners are getting more and more imminent. He just started 3 games out of the 24 appearances he made across all competitions.

But Gravenberch spoke to Dutch media outlet Algemeen Dagblad about his future in Germany next season. He stated,

“I assume I will still play here next season, that’s really how I feel.

I’m at a top three club in the world. I find that beautiful and special.

I won’t give that up just like that. My goal is still to succeed at Bayern.”

Gravenberch has been a serious candidate for Liverpool in their attempts for a midfield revamp. He can really be a statement signing for the club and Klopp.
