Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has received a transfer offer from Saudi club Al-Ettifaq. However, rumours of £700K per week wages might not be true.
Recent reports have confirmed that Jordan Henderson is set to join Saudi side Al-Ettifaq. The speculated weekly wages of the English midfielder was £700K which was certainly unusual.
However, the latest update from David Lynch’s YouTube channel podcast revealed the actual figure of the midfielder.
Saudi offer rumours of Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson
The journalist via the sources close to the deal has confirmed that Henderson’s offer is only a quarter of the giant figure that is circulating. He stated,
“The fugure isn’t nearly as mind-boggling as rumoured.
Instead of the heavily rumoured £700,000, Henderson is actually being offered in the realm of a quarter of this per week.
That’s a significantly less, but still a hefty figure.
Also while talking about the Henderson deal, the renowned journalist also did a comparison between Henderson and Fabinho. He spoke about the Henderson-Fabinho dynamic saying,
“Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are integral cogs in the Liverpool machine.
They contribute significantly to the team’s rhythm and balance.”
Both the Brazilian midfielder and English midfielder play pivotal roles in the Red’s midfield.
Henderson’s leadership and relentless energy and Fabinho’s dominating presence always held the midfield together. Losing both of them might cost Liverpool a lot in the near future.
The Romeo Lavia conversation
The conversation of Romeo Lavia joining the Merseysiders has been doing the rounds for a significant amount of time. And Lynch has also shed some light on the situation. He stated,
“He’s a rising star, showing promising signs at a tender age.
The lad’s got potential. Keep an eye on him.
He’s an example of the exciting young talent coming through the ranks.”
Amid all the chatter about senior players leaving the club and the future of Liverpool’s midfield, signing a young talent like Lavia can prove to be beneficial. However, the experience aspect also should not be ignored in this conversation.
Although, the dip in the form of Fabinho might suggest the Red selling him this summer to get the best price while trading the club captain might not be a good idea.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
