Andre Trindade to Liverpool

Fabrizio Romano says that Liverpool could still sign Fluminese star Andre Trindade at some point as the club still considers him a great midfield option.

The Anfield giants completed their extensive midfield rebuild this summer. With many senior players leaving Anfield, the club signed four top-tier midfielders to execute the revamp.

However, in the process of doing so, the Reds were linked with almost every possible eligible midfield option across the globe.

One of the names that frequently surfaced during that time was Andre Trindade from the Brazilian side Fluminese. Moreover, the latest update shares a rather positive approach regarding the situation.

Liverpool could still sign Fluminese midfielder Andre Trindade

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Merseysiders still have not given up the chance to sign the Brazilian midfielder. Speaking on his Here We Go Podcast, Romano explained,

“No, it’s not over, it’s still something we have to keep an eye on because Liverpool really like Andre. They had positive conversations with Fluminense, they have good relationships.

Fluminense were showing how strong they are in the Brazilian and South American market as they said no way the player is leaving, so credit to Fluminense, it was not easy, but I think Liverpool will keep monitoring the player, this is a special player, this is not a normal player, Andre is a very, very good player.”

The young midfielder is keen on moving to the PL and preferably to Liverpool. Even though Fluminese did not want to let him go in the summer, he could possibly seek a move out as soon as the Brazilian Serie-A comes to an end in winter.

Do Liverpool really need Andre?

But the question that arises now is if the Anfield giants really need this signing. The 22-year-old is undoubtedly a great talent who will achieve great heights in the future.

However, LFC have a lot of young midfield talents like Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, and Stefan Bajcetic at their disposal. Signing more players would simply mean less chance for these youngsters to flourish.

So the club really has to think through this before buying any other midfielder in the near future.
