Fabio Carvalho can now prove himself in the Bundesliga after moving to RB Leipzig on loan from Liverpool as Dani Olmo got injured during the international break.
The Reds did a pretty good job in the transfer market this summer with all the new signings. The club also saw many senior players leave Anfield and move elsewhere.
However, the Merseysiders have also done some smart business by sending some young talents on loan so they gain some more experience and get more playtime which they otherwise would not have got.
The Anfield giants sent Sepp van den Berg, Calvin Ramsey, Nathaniel Phillips, and Rhys Williams on season-long loans.
But perhaps the most talked about loan out of the season for the English club was Fabio Carvalho’s loan to RB Leipzig. And the latest report suggests he might get a great opportunity real soon.
Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho could get his first Leipzig start
As per a new report via German media outlet BILD, the Portuguese midfielder could get his first start at RB Leipzig. And this opportunity has arrived due to the unfortunate knee injury of Dani Olmo.
The Spaniard picked up the injury in the Euro qualifiers match against Georgia on Friday. And the agile winger will reportedly be out for three to four months.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder since joining the German side this summer has spent most of his time on the bench. Carvalho only played 18 minutes in total across all competitions for Leipzig.
And if manager Marco Rose opts to choose the Liverpool player ahead of Emil Forsberg and Xavi Simons as a starter then he could try rising up to the occasion.
Even though he did not have a great time at the Merseyside, his potential is definitely uncountable. If he performs in the Bundesliga then it is safe to say that Jurgen Klopp will be more than happy to integrate him back into the first team.
