A top journalist wrote on Twitter that Mac Allister is close to being a Liverpool FC player after the Argentine agreed for a switch to Anfield.

Reporter Gaston Edul is lauded for his reliability, especially when it comes to senior Argentine stars. He wrote on Twitter stating: “Alexis Mac Allister va a ser jugador de Liverpool”. It translates to “Alexis Mac Allister is going to be a Liverpool player”.

Mac Allister to Liverpool FC – A done deal already?

As per Argentine reports from TyC Sports, they have hinted at the Brighton man joining Liverpool. Their recent article headline read “Alexis Mac Allister will be a new Liverpool player.”

However, the article does state that it has not yet been an official signing. But a lot of reports from various trusted outlets have already said that the Argentine is on his way to Anfield.

One of them is the most trusted Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano. He went on to say that ‘personal terms between the player and Liverpool have been agreed.’

The transfer fee is rumoured to be around £70m and the Reds are set to beat Chelsea for the Argentine’s signature. Besides, the incoming boss, Mauricio Pochettino was said to have a late interest in the 24-year-old.

As reported by Fabrizio that the personal terms have been agreed, the agreement between Brighton and Liverpool are also seemingly struck. Klopp won’t have long to wait for the first of several superstar midfield additions.

Moreover, with the season down to just 2 games, they sit in the 5th place currently. The top-4 dream is now hanging by a thread after their draw against Aston Villa on Saturday, thus bringing their 7-game winning streak to an end.

They are 3 points behind 4th place Man Utd who still have a game in hand. Meanwhile, to end their season, the Reds will travel to St. Mary’s on Sunday to face the relegated Southampton.

However, despite the possible Champions League omission for the next season, it seems like Klopp has his midfield target.
