Liverpool are on their way to submitting an official bid for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia while competing with Chelsea and Arsenal.
Liverpool have done some offloading with players like James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita leaving Anfield. This freed up some wages and provided the club with some funds.
The job now also is to fill in those places with new signings and give Klopp a new set of players to work with.
Although the Reds signed Alexis Mac Allister and are looking forward to signing new midfielders. Romeo Lavia is one of the prominent targets for Liverpool.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavoleiri revealed on Redmen TV that the Merseyside giants are set to submit a bid to Southampton. He said,
“If it is not this week it will be next week. This is something really concrete.”
The Reds have informed Lavia’s representatives that they are planning to soon make a bid to the Saints. Southampton received an inquiry from Liverpool for a potential move of £50M to Anfield.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also reportedly interested to sign the 19-year-old midfielder. However, the Gunners just signed Declan Rice and the Blues are after Moises Caicedo. So the Anfield giants are far clear of them.
The defensive midfielder managed to put 2.27 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per game across all competitions. He appeared in 33 games for the Southampton senior team scored 1 goal and assisted 1.
The pre-season starts on the 8th and Klopp has made it clear that he wants his team ready before pre-season and that work has already started.
Liverpool have to make an effective defensive-midfielder signing this season. And Lavia looks like the perfect candidate.
If Liverpool can sign the player then the club can really challenge for top-tier competitions again next season.
