Liverpool faces Manchester City in this weekend’s PL fixture and Man City fans have given their views on the game and the 115 FFP charges made by PL clubs.
After a 10-point deduction imposed on Everton by the Premier League, the City fans are worried about their charges. The 115-charges allegations on Man City have once again become a huge talking point.
However, there is also belief in the air with Pep coming out strong and defending his club in various interviews.
Liverpool vs Manchester City: FFP charges, title-defining game, and everything else
The two teams who have dominated the English game in the past decade come into the game with only one point separating the two.
With one of the games of the season against Liverpool coming up, a Man City fan shares their perspective.
“I think it’s going to be a tough match, [but] City fans are relatively confident. We’ve got a lot of injury problems but with our squad depth we can still put out a world class Starting XI. The biggest worry is Salah, who’s in relentless goal scoring form.”
A City fan, Phoebe said.
The Egyptian forward already has 12 goals in all competitions this season. Meanwhile, only Haaland is above in the goalscoring charts in the league with 16.
But when asked about the threat the Reds pose, the City fan was quick to recognize Liverpool’s good form.
“I think they are yes. They’ve invested in younger players and revamped their midfield, which is providing excellent service to their forwards.
Once Liverpool are in a good run of form it’s really hard to disrupt that, but I still see City coming away with the title at the end of the season.”
How would FFP affect Pep’s side?
While the PL have inflicted charges on Everton for their FFP breaching, Man City have been warned by this incident.
Talking about this situation, the City fan responded in a hopeful tone.
“It certainly shows that the governing bodies mean business with FFP. Should they be proven guilty, it’s clear that the punishment will be severe so that’s made City fans are quite anxious, but the club are determined that they’ve done nothing wrong so hopefully it doesn’t come to anything”.
However, the focus now shifts to the game on Saturday which could be a potential title-deciding fixture.
