The president of Al-Ittihad, Anmar Al-Haili, has hinted at revealing details about their unsuccessful attempt to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah during the summer transfer window.
Al-Ittihad, the Saudi Arabian club, made headlines with a £215 million bid for the Egyptian forward, but Liverpool swiftly rejected the offer.
Reports in August suggested that Salah was attracted to the idea of joining a league that featured several stars, including Fabinho, who had moved to the Saudi Pro League for the 2023-24 season.
Despite the speculation surrounding Salah’s potential departure, Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp was determined to keep him at the club and turned down Al-Ittihad’s substantial offer.
Al-Ittihad to soon reveal their take on signing Mohamed Salah
Now, Al-Haili has promised to provide insights into their pursuit of Salah, as well as details about failed bids for other football stars like Sergio Ramos and Kevin De Bruyne.
In an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, he mentioned,
“I remained silent… but I hope to be able to respond soon to what happened in the last week of the summer market regarding Salah, Ramos and De Bruyne.”
As Al-Ittihad prepares to unveil the details, Liverpool fans are bracing themselves for another chapter in the ongoing saga surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future.
Despite the transfer drama, fans express hope that Salah remains with Liverpool and continues to contribute to the club’s success.
The anticipation is heightened by the prospect of gaining insights into the negotiations involving Salah, Ramos, and De Bruyne.
Salah’s impressive performance this season, with 12 goals and four assists in 17 appearances, underscores his significant contribution to Jurgen Klopp’s team.
