Liverpool have reportedly made a decision regarding the potential sale of Mo Salah to the Saudi Pro League in the upcoming January transfer window.
During the summer, Mohamed Salah attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, with Al Ittihad rumored to have made a verbal offer of £150 million for the player as the European transfer window closed.
Liverpool, however, rejected this offer, which consisted of £100 million upfront and an additional £50 million in add-ons.
The club firmly stated that the Egypt international was not available for sale. Despite this, concerns persist that Liverpool might still be vulnerable to losing Salah to the Saudi Pro League in the future.
As per Football Insider, back in September, there were reports suggesting that Al Ittihad was preparing a significant bid worth £225 million for Salah in the final days of the Saudi transfer window, although such a bid never materialized.
Mo Salah to Saudi in January – A Possibility?
A source with inside knowledge revealed that there is “significant interest” in Salah from the Saudi Pro League, which aims to make the talented forward a centerpiece of their league by 2024.
Nevertheless, the latest information indicates that Liverpool have no intention of selling Salah in January, regardless of the offers that may be presented.
The club’s owners are reportedly firm in their stance that the 31-year-old is not available for transfer, even if the player himself expresses a desire to move.
Despite ongoing speculation about his future, Salah has delivered outstanding performances for Liverpool at the beginning of the season, amassing 10 goals and four assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.
Salah, who is reported to earn a weekly wage of £350,000 with Liverpool, remains under contract with the club until June 2025.
