Karim Benzema and Jota have already sent a warning to Liverpool star Mohamed Salah before a potential move to Saudi club Al-Ittihad.
The Merseysiders have successfully concluded their transfer window for this summer with the deadline-day signing of Ryan Gravenberch.
The club completed their midfield rehaul by signing Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Wataru Endo. While Gravenberch became the latest addition to the midfield on the last day of the transfer window.
The Anfield giants were fortunate enough to do so even though they lost and missed out on several players this summer. Especially with Saudi Arabia coming in to hijack LFC players.
And most recently Saudi giants Al-Ittihad made an offer of £150M to the English side to sign Mohamed Salah. Although the Reds turned down the offer to try and keep the star in the club.
However, Ittihad might return with an improved bid of £200M for the Egyptian international before the Saudi window closes.
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah receives warning
And before there is any further development in that story, reports from the Middle East should warn Salah about the scenario.
According to a report via the Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, Al-Ittihad manager Nuno Espirito Santo and Karim Benzema have not been on good terms.
The Frenchman wanted to be the captain of the club but the coach did not approve this request as he did not want the signing at all.
And the Ballon d’Or winner now is “not comfortable” at the club after “being treated unprofessionally by his coach”.
While speaking about the Jota situation, Saudi journalist Waleed Al Farraj said,
“I heard that Jota will not continue with the team. Yes, the club paid €30 million for him, but the club found that he does not serve the team at the moment.
Ittihad’s interests come first. I am happy to have Karim Benzema in the centre-forward position, but he lacks playing alongside world-class attacking wingers. But in that way, absolutely not.”
These things should definitely work as a warning sign for the Egyptian winger. The Saudi transfer window closes on September 7 and the club and fans will have to wait to see if Salah chooses to stay or leave.
