Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp can hand a vital debut to Polish youngster Mateusz Musialowski against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
The mighty Reds are currently cruising in fine form across all competitions. Recently the team beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 last weekend in the 10th PL match of this season.
And in the most recent UEL match last mid-week, the Merseysiders thrashed French side Toulouse 5-1 at Anfield. And in the last Carabao Cup match, the club secured a comfortable 3-1 victory against Leicester City.
This Wednesday, the Anfield giants will be facing Bournemouth in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup as the favorites to win. Also, this would be a perfect chance for Klopp to use his young guns and test them.
Mateusz Musialowski to make his Liverpool debut?
The LFC boss has been very efficient with his methods of integrating youngsters into his marvelous side.
So far he has given senior debuts to Ben Doak, Jarell Quansah, Luke Chambers, Calum Scalon and James McConnell.
And in the last season, Stefan Bajcetic became an important figure in the midfield. So his unfortunate injury only means that Klopp is missing a vital player and he will be used as soon as he becomes fit.
Now with Luis Diaz not being available due to his father’s kidnapping in Columbia, Klopp might use youngsters, giving rest to senior players. And this could possibly give Mateusz Musialowski his first senior appearance.
The 20-year-old Polish attacker is a left-winger with the capability of playing anywhere across the frontline. He is also very good with both of his feet.
While playing for Liverpool U-21, Musialowski this season has made 7 appearances, scored 5 goals, and assisted 2 goals. The youngster joined the Reds back in 2020, aged 17, from SMS Lodz (stats via Transfermarkt).
Musialowski has already shown that he is capable of performing on the bigger stage, having scored in the EFL Trophy. So he is more than deserving to make his first appearance in the Liverpool outfit.
