Paris Saint-Germain have accepted a ridiculous and record-breaking transfer offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal for French star Kylian Mbappe.
Kylian Mbappe has been one of the exciting superstars of the sport for the past few years. He still holds the record of being the most expensive teenager of all time when he moved to PSG from Monaco for €180M signing fee.
He was the Best Young Player in the 2018 World Cup and it was the competition that set up the stage for him. Thereafter, he went on to win almost everything in the football world except the Champions League.
And all the hype around him is justified considering how great he is. But recently he hasn’t been happy at the French club and now he has only one year left on his contract, thus, he might be leaving Paris.
Moreover, it has been reported that the 24-year-old will not be signing any contract extension at PSG.
As the French superstar is out in the market, many clubs have shown interest in him. And among many clubs, Liverpool’s name has also surfaced up. Although the probability of the Reds signing the sensational attacker is next to impossible.
The most perfect suitor for Mbappe would definitely be Real Madrid. He is a childhood supporter of the Los Blancos and the Spanish giants also have shown interest in the player.
However, they are still waiting for the right time to make an official bid.
Paris accepts €1B transfer offer from Saudi side Al-Hilal for Kylian Mbappe
According to Fabrizio Romano, Al-Hilal have made a ‘formal bid’ to sign Mbappe for a package ‘worth €300M’. No talks between Al-Hilal and the 24-year-old have taken place to discuss the personal terms but PSG have green signaled for talks to happen.
If this deal goes through then it will overshadow the record of the most expensive signing of all time. The record was of €222M set by the Paris side while signing Neymar Jr back in 2017.
CBS journalist James Benge reported that a salary package of €700m over one year is what Mbappe will get. That concludes the deal to be €1B a year for the Frenchman.
To put that in context he will earn £50.39m a month, £11.63m a week, £1.65m a day, £69,034 an hour, £1,150 a minute, and £19.17 a second. This amount of money is just insane considering that his one-week salary is what most players of his age make throughout a year.
If Al-Hilal are able to pull off this deal then the fans around the globe will go insane. However, that will probably not happen as Mbappe would not be interested to join Saudi League because of his ambitions to remain in Europe.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
