Liverpool forward Luis Diaz could soon get a transfer to Al-Hilal and leave Anfield after just joining the club 18 months ago.
The Merseysiders remain one of the busiest dealers of this summer transfer window. They have already released James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita for free.
The club signed stars like Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai as their midfield reinforcements.
And new reports reveal that soon Jordan Henderson and Fabinho might be leaving Anfield too. However, some recent sources suggest that the Club captain has changed his mind and he will continue his journey at Anfield.
Amid all these, the buzz of signing their third midfielder is also doing the rounds. Meanwhile, signing a new defender might also be in the mind of the Reds.
However, the latest report suggests that star forward Luis Diaz might be on the radar of a Saudi club and this is concerning.
Al-Hilal interested to sign Liverpool star Luis Diaz?
According to a new report via Portuguese media outlet Record, the 26-year-old has attracted interest from potential Saudi suitors.
The reports state that Al-Hilal wants to sign the Colombian and are willing to pay €50M for him.
The interest to sign him has particularly generated from Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus’s request.
And with the amount of money involved in this business, the Saudi club will obviously try and pursue the player.
Diaz joined the Anfield giants back in the winter of 2022 for €47M and since then he has evidently left his mark on the pitch.
Although he has been injured for a major part of the 2022-23 season, he has appeared in 47 games across all competitions for the Reds.
Diaz has been quite remarkable throughout. Luchito scored 11 goals and assisted 8 in his time at the club so far. His contract with Liverpool runs until 2027.
Although the Saudi side has not made any official bid for the winger, they are preparing for a big offer.
However, Klopp very much likes Diaz and has successfully incorporated him into his game plan. So even if Al-Hilal thinks of buying him, they will have to pay more than €75M for the Reds to change their mind.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
