Liverpool Football Club have reportedly made an audacious bid of €200 million (£170 million) to secure the services of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star attacker Kylian Mbappe.

The 24-year-old French international has long been linked with a move to Anfield, and it appears that Liverpool are ready to make a statement by pursuing one of the world’s best players.

Liverpool aiming for signing Mbappe?

Journalist Edu Aguirre revealed that Liverpool’s offer has reached the offices of PSG, indicating the club’s serious intent to acquire Mbappe.

While the credibility of the claim remains uncertain, such a substantial bid would undoubtedly capture attention in the football world.

Nevertheless, skepticism is warranted, considering Liverpool’s financial constraints and the need to offload players before making any further signings. Liverpool and Mbappe have been linked together in transfer rumors for several years.

With PSG now open to selling their captain, a potential move to Liverpool would come as a surprise to many observers.

However, it is important to note that Liverpool’s absence from the UEFA Champions League next season may hinder their chances of securing the French superstar’s signature.

Mbappe’s track record speaks for itself, as he has consistently impressed with his remarkable goal-scoring ability.

The PSG forward has netted an astonishing 212 goals and provided 98 assists in just 260 appearances for the club.

This exceptional form has made him one of the most sought-after players in the world, with a market value of €180 million (£155 million) according to Transfermarkt.

Reports suggest that Liverpool have submitted a substantial £171 million bid to acquire Mbappe’s services, indicating their determination to secure his signature.

However, the transfer remains uncertain, and other clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United have also expressed interest in the Frenchman.

Tough competition from Real Madrid

According to Cadena Ser, Real Madrid have already drawn up an elaborate financial plan regarding how they will land Mbappe.

They are ready to offer Mbappe a five-year contract along with a €50m salary. The contract would include a €1 billion release clause.

However, Madrid’s plan is to sign Mbappe next summer as they have no intention of meeting PSG’s asking price of €200m.

In conclusion, Liverpool’s reported bid for Kylian Mbappe signifies their ambitious pursuit of top-quality talent.

While the authenticity of the offer is yet to be confirmed, the potential acquisition of Mbappe would undoubtedly elevate Liverpool’s status and significantly impact the Premier League title race.

Fans eagerly await further developments regarding this exciting transfer saga, but caution is advised until more reliable sources provide concrete information.

While the reality is such rumours keep coming and going but we all know deep inside who our owners are and how a move for Mabppe is nearly impossible under FSG.
