Liverpool are one of the contenders to sign the French sensation Kylian Mbappe if he leaves PSG this season.
Kylian Mbappe creates a new story yesterday as he informed the French side that he will not sign a one-year extension on his contract.
So he will have only 12 months remaining on his contract. Thus, PSG will not be looking forward to let their top player go for free. And they have reportedly put the 24-year-old for sale.
Kylian Mbappe to sign for Liverpool?
According to a report by the Spanish news outlet Marca, there are only two clubs he can join.
Without any thinking, the first club is obviously Real Madrid. Mbappe joining Los Blancos will be pretty inevitable. The Spanish giants made an offer of £146M to sign him a year ago.
But PSG did not accept the bid and kept the Frenchman in the club. But now with only one year remaining on his contract, he will be a lot more cheaper than last year.
And the other club reportedly is Liverpool. The Reds are said to be a ‘big candidate’ to sign the World Cup-winning forward. If PSG really put the Frenchman on the transfer market for sale.
It is quite shocking that Liverpool are constantly linked with a move for Mbappe. While the Reds were in the top competitions for the last few years, the French star might still would’ve been a genuine option. But now as the Merseysiders are in Europa League, they can’t sign him.
Liverpool resented an expensive deal to sign Jude Bellingham this summer for financial reasons. The Anfield giants backed out of the deal because of the wages that would have been £100M plus which would’ve been a lot to bear.
The 24-year-old would’ve been the best forward last summer. But the signings gave the Reds a boost on the left side.
The French star’s mother is reportedly a Liverpool fan which is also a reason for all the speculation. This would be an interesting saga to watch.
Honestly, we all know that until FSG rules the Anfield kingdom such high-prolific stars won’t be coming to the red half of the Merseyside.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
