Liverpool are reportedly thinking to sell Thiago Alcantara in the upcoming winter transfer window if he does not extend his contract.
After a successful transfer window and midfield rebuild, the Reds are well off into the season. They won the recent match 3-1 against West Ham United on Sunday.
This victory against the London side has extended their unbeaten spell to 7 matches this season and they are looking quite strong.
The Merseysiders are now currently sitting 2nd in the PL points table right below Manchester City.
Even after losing almost the whole midfield setup this summer, to turn around and establish dominance is quite commendable from the Anfield giants.
And the only senior midfielder they were able to retain this summer is Thiago. After interest from Saudi Arabia, the midfielder stayed at the club for this season.
However, the latest report has hinted at his possible departure.

According to a new report by Pete O’Rourke via Football Insider, the Merseysiders might sell the Spaniard in the coming transfer window.
The club will obviously try and make him sign a contract extension in the coming days but that is also depending on how the midfielder’s injury situation develops.
And if he does not extend his contract at Anfield, the club will have to let him go for free in the summer of 2024.
So they will try to make the most out of his transfer by either selling him in January or extending the contract.
Since joining the club from Bayern Munich back in 2020, the 32-year-old has made 97 appearances.
But his time at Anfield has mostly been interrupted by injuries. So this is a thing worth considering for the club.
However, the Spanish international has the much-needed experience that the current Liverpool midfield lacks. So his presence guarantees Klopp the additional responsibility in the middle of the park.
Whether LFC would sell him or not still remains a question that will unfold in the coming days.
