Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has spoken about another summer signing, Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, and his heroics at the club so far.
The Reds have been in excellent form so far after only drawing the opening game of the season against Chelsea. Since then they are on a winning streak and are on a 8-game unbeaten run.
And most of this credit goes to the club’s decision to rebuild the midfield this summer. Thus, definitely, the player who is showing the most promise is Dominik Szoboszlai.
After joining the Anfield giants from RB Leipzig, he has integrated very well into the team and has been a powerhouse in the midfield.
While another midfield signing, Ryan Gravenberch has spoken about his abilities very highly.
Ryan Gravenberch lauds Liverpool mate Dominik Szoboszlai
Szoboszlai scored an absolute worldie against Leicester City mid-week in the EFL Cup clash.
The Hungarian skipper received the ball a few yards outside of the box and struck it with immense power and the shot ended at the top corner of the Foxes.
While speaking about this goal on an AMA session over Reddit, his current teammate Gravenberch said,
“It’s Dom Szoboszlai, because of his shot. You saw it (against Leicester). It’s crazy. Sometimes we shoot after training and it’s like ‘one, two, three’… they all go in. I think it’s Dom (who has surprised me the most) with his shot.”
The 22-year-old so far has appeared in 8 matches across all competitions for the Merseysiders and is truly living up to his expectations.
He has scored 2 goals till now but that does not paint the whole scenario.
Szoboszlai’s work rate on the pitch and his willingness to defend despite being an attacking-minded midfielder is quite impressive. He also plays many key passes which eventually convert into a goal.
So admiration towards him from other players in the team is actually very helpful and inspiring for the younger players.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
