Liverpool have been reportedly informed that they can sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone for €40m, with the Frenchman a target for the Reds.
Trusted journalist, Fabrizio Romano took on Twitter and informed that the 22-year-old could be available for a bargain price. The Italian also stated that Liverpool are focused on wrapping up the singing of Mac Allister before going for Kone.
The Frenchman has been hailed as a ‘phenomenal player’ by a few critics and ex-players. Moreover, he has been the German club’s best player this season and established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting talents.
After 2 seasons with the German club, it is reported that the Frenchman is likely to leave the club this summer. The Reds have been linked to the player along with Man Utd and PSG.
Could Liverpool land their second signing in Manu Kone?
With Mac Allister only an official announcement away, the Reds turn their head to their other transfer targets. Manu Kone is reportedly one of their top targets after they failed to land Mount from Chelsea.
The 24-year-old has been reportedly close to joining Man Utd after being chased by Liverpool for quite a while now. Moreover, the Dutchman, Ryan Gravenberch is also said to be unavailable for the Reds to sign.
Other targets including Ugarte are also being lured away by Chelsea and PSG after reportedly being close to joining Liverpool.
With the midfielder to be expected to cost around €35-€40m, it could be a bargain signing for Klopp. The Gladbach midfielder is a dynamic player and has the quality to play under Klopp.
It has, so far, not been an eventful summer transfer window. However, the season has just ended and there should be no surprise if the Reds go all-in for their targets.
