Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has revealed his predictions for the scoreline of Liverpool Manchester United’s clash at Anfield.

This weekend, the struggling Manchester United would face the table toppers in an exciting game. The Red Devils have not won at Anfield since January 2016. Moreover, they have lost their last 2 games at Anfield with an aggregate score of 11-0.

There is a lot of pressure on the manager, Ten Hag, as they also exited the Champions League on Wednesday. They lost their must-win game against Bayern at Old Trafford, finishing last in their group.

‘That has to change’: Jamie Carragher explains how Liverpool can win Premier League this season

This has put immense pressure on the Dutchman, and speculations have started over his future. Additionally, Ten Hag would have many missing players, some due to injury and some due to suspension.

Notably, Bruno Fernandes would miss the clash as he is serving a suspension after his yellow card against Bournemouth. Moreover, striker Anthony Martial and midfielder Casemiro would also miss the clash.

Furthermore, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw might be a doubt as they were taken off due to discomfort against Bayern.

Berbatov thinks Liverpool will win against Manchester United

Former United player Dimitar Berbatov claims that United would come away empty-handed at Anfield. He contended that Klopp would be smart enough to exploit United’s weakness.

Moreover, Ten Hag has been frustrated over the lack of goalscoring output from United’s front line. Their big-money signing, Rasmus Hojlund, has yet to score in the Premier League for United.

Manchester United is considered the underdog going into the clash with Liverpool. Hence, Berbatov has predicted United will lose 2-0 to Liverpool this weekend while talking to Metro.

“When we talk about Liverpool, we talk about Mohamed Salah, and we talk about consistency.

Salah is a Liverpool legend in his own right. The way he plays football and what it brings to the team while having a coach that understands you like Jurgen Klopp, then you will get results.

Salah is the main threat for Liverpool, but they have many great players. Klopp is smart enough to explore the weaknesses of Man United in their form, and we know Liverpool will start the game like mad dogs, they’ll chase, bite, and probably score.

‘You’re not winning the Premier League’: Pundit says Liverpool won’t win title if £16m player starts regularly

Man United used to score goals when the opposing team needed to score to get a result. In the last two games, Man United have not scored. Now they play Liverpool, who have Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson in a world-class defence.

I want to see Man United get into more goalscoring opportunities. I want to say Man United will score, but I think it may be too much for them this time.”
