Liverpool are closing in on midfielder Andre Trindade deal as the Fluminese star is also ready to join the Premier League in the winter.
The Reds‘ approach in midfield rebuild was highly successful this summer as they signed Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Ryan Gravenberch.
These players have made a huge impact this season with their performances.
However, the signing of Wataru Endo was just a temporary fix for the defensive-midfielder crisis which happened due to the unimaginable departure of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
But he has failed to establish himself as a regular starter in Jurgen Klopp’s team-sheet.
Since joining the Merseyside club, the Japanese international has only made 5 appearances while starting in just one of them.
To fix this problem of a high-class defensive midfielder, the Anfield giants are scouting the transfer market for a potential winter signing.
Andre Trindade to Liverpool: Confirm?
Fluminese midfielder Andre Trindade has been on LFC’s radar since this summer. Although they could not sign the Brazilian in the summer due to the ongoing season of Serie A, there is a possibility he will be ready for a move out after December.
Meanwhile, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an important update on this matter. Writing for The Daily Briefing, the journalist wrote,
“I think he could have a chance to move in 2024, but we will see what happens in terms of negotiation with Fluminense.
It won’t be easy as they are always strong in negotiations. But André is absolutely ready for the next step — he’s very talented, and has a great mentality.”
The 22-year-old is on contract with the Brazilian side till 2026. While recent updates have stated that his signing value could be £30M.
Liverpool will expectedly face competition from Arsenal to sign Andre. However, if the Reds stay persistent with their motive, this signing should follow through.
