Fabrizio Romano shared the latest scoop on Liverpool star Fabinho and what lies for him in the future. The journalist spoke about this on his YouTube channel.
According to recent reports two of the most senior players of the Reds, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are set to leave the club.
Both players are in contact with Saudi clubs. Henderson has even agreed personal terms with Saudi side Al-Ettifaq.
Despite agreeing to personal terms with the Damman-based club, the Reds’ captain has joined the team and traveled to Germany for the pre-season friendlies. However, the Brazilian’s name was not present on the squad list.
This decision has raised the eyebrows of fans and experts. Although transfer expert Fabrizio has explained the reason why the Merseysiders made this decision.
Fabrizio provides an update on the future of Liverpool midfielder Fabinho
While speaking about the situation on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano stated,
“This is a really crucial moment for Liverpool, it’s a revolution.
They signed Alexis Mac Allister, they signed also Dominik Szoboszlai, but now between Fabinho and Al-Ittihad the agreement is done in terms of the player and under discussion between Liverpool and Al-Ittihad.
Liverpool are waiting for the official documents to check some details of the payment terms, the instalments, so they’re still very cautious on the process.
But, the negotiation is very advanced and ongoing. This is why Fabinho’s not with Liverpool in Germany.”
The Reds did not particularly have a great last season. So they took necessary measures to amend things and signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Even with these signings the team still lacks a dominating physical presence in the midfield.
Although the talks of signing Romeo Lavia are going on, Liverpool would still need some experienced and already-settled players in the middle of the park. And Fabinho can still deliver that.
However, Fabrizio also added that Fabinho is more than happy to leave Anfield and move to Saudi Arabia this summer.
The Brazilian international is 29 now and still is not past his prime age. According to Sky Sports, his market value is around £43M. Even though he wishes to leave Premier League, his presence is much needed for the Reds.
