Journalist Rudy Galetti confirms Saudi giants Al-Ittihad have submitted a ‘huge offer’ to sign Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah.
The Saudi Pro League has taken the football world by storm with transfers this summer. The league has captured players from all over the world along with many big names.
EPL and Liverpool have also been hit by the storm as well. The Anfield giants lost Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Al-Ettifaq and Al-Ittihad respectively.
These two players moving out affected the Reds’ midfield rebuild massively. However, they are now recovering from the loss by signing new players.
But the latest report has indicated that the Merseysiders might lose one of the main players this summer.
Liverpool receive transfer offer for Mohamed Salah from Al-Ittihad
According to a new update by Rudy Galetti, the English side has received a mouth-watering offer for Mohamed Salah from Al-Ittihad.
Taking it to Twitter, Galetti said,
“Al-Ittihad don’t give up for Salah: the club sent a huge offer (more than $100m [£78.4m]) to convince especially Klopp – who rejected the idea of his farewell so far – to let him go.
If Liverpool will accept, it’ll be the most expensive deal in the history of Saudi League.”
The Egyptian ‘King’ is one of the senior-most and indispensable players of the team. He is a regular starter and is very much admired by Klopp.
Even in a not-so-good last season, in which the Reds finished 5th in the PL table, Salah scored 30 goals and assisted 16 goals across all competitions.
This just shows how effective and important a player he is to this Liverpool team.
The Merseysiders are currently focusing on strengthening the midfield with another signing. But the club should now try finding a replacement for the winger.
However, it is quite understandable that the Reds are far away from selling him.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
