Mo Salah to leave Liverpool

‘I am told’: Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool have made player ‘untouchable’, he will not be sold

In the midst of swirling transfer rumors linking Mohamed Salah with Saudi Arabian clubs, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano provides a resolute update: Liverpool have firmly shut the door on any potential summer sale of the Egyptian international.

Romano on Salah to Saudi

Romano, sharing his insights on his official YouTube channel, underscores that Salah is not up for consideration in this transfer window.

Despite mounting speculation that Saudi clubs are eyeing a move for Salah to join the ranks of Ronaldo, Benzema, and Neymar in the Middle East, both Liverpool and the player himself remain uninterested in such a transition this summer.

Romano points out Liverpool’s unequivocal stance:

“Salah is untouchable… they don’t want Mo Salah to leave.”

Klopp Clarifying Doubts

During a Friday press conference on the eve of the game against Bournemouth Klopp discussed the rumors regarding Salah:

“On the outgoing side, from my side, nothing will happen but I learned in this window a lot of things so we will see that. Incomings, there is still time, so let’s have a look and that’s what we will do.”

Regarding his relationship with Salah after what happened in the Chelsea and Liverpool match, Klopp clarified:

“That was a week ago. He had a great training week.”

Saudi Keen to Hijack Salah

The Premier League outfit, in light of several key departures, aims to hold on to their superstar winger this season, as they brace for the real challenge next year.

The intrigue is set for 2024, with Saudi clubs poised to launch an all-out effort to secure Salah.

Liverpool now faces the task of persuading Salah to stay in the Premier League, with this season’s success likely to play a pivotal role in his decision.

Romano’s revelation reinforces the commitment of both Salah and Liverpool to continue their journey together in the immediate future.

Salah to Stay at Liverpool

With only two years remaining on Salah’s contract, the speculation has gained traction, particularly considering his remarkable goal-scoring consistency.

However, Romano’s report establishes Salah’s intent to remain at Anfield, while Liverpool seems to be preparing for the eventual post-Salah era.

The club is reportedly eyeing Juventus’ Federico Chiesa and Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane as potential successors, with an eye toward the 2024/25 season.

While these moves are not currently on the table for this summer, a January deal remains a possibility.

While speculation swirls about Salah’s future, Liverpool are already contemplating post-Salah plans with potential successors in mind.

The upcoming season’s success may well determine Salah’s extended stay, as Liverpool endeavors to secure their talisman’s allegiance in the face of enticing offers.
