Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has accepted a second bid from Liverpool for midfielder Federico Valverde, according to reports.
After most of the first-team midfielders bid adieu to the club and Klopp is looking to rebuild the squad. After signing the World Cup winner, Mac Allister which was a steal, Klopp is now looking at other options in the market.
With the likes of Thuram, Kone, Veiga, Barella, and Gravenberch, Klopp is filled with options for his midfield. A new addition to the list is that of a Galactico in Federico Valverde.
The former UCL winner is said to have dropped down the ranks. Also, Perez is said to have accepted a second bid from Liverpool. The fee is rumored to be €90m and this might be a great deal considering the player’s capabilities.
This would surely make the Reds’ supporters happy. Moreover, the cherry on top is that Man Utd have been interested in the player for a long time now and it looks like once again the Reds will sign a Red Devils target.
Some reports say that the Uruguay international ‘can become the bomb of the summer’ with his ‘surprise’ exit from Real Madrid now on the cards.
Federico Valverde could be heading to Liverpool in a shock move
Valverde has started to drop down the pecking order under Carlo Ancelotti with new signing Jude Bellingham. He along with Eduardo Camavinga and either Luka Modric or Toni Kroos might make up the Italian’s preferred three in Real Madrid’s midfield.
And Nacional are back today with claims that Liverpool have upped their offer from €70m to €90m. Moreover, the report claims that Los Blancos president Perez has said ‘yes’ to their latest bid.
Liverpool ‘can take advantage of the doubts that exist around the Uruguayan international’. Also, Real Madrid would be finding their latest bid ‘very difficult to reject’.
The report adds that Valverde could be the ‘sacrifice’ necessary to provide Real Madrid with the funds to go after Kylian Mbappe. Meanwhile, the Frenchman is also entering the final year of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
But Liverpool could face a challenge to persuade Valverde to swap the Bernabeu for Anfield. The player ‘does not seem willing to leave Madrid under any circumstances’.
Furthermore, Valverde is currently ‘comfortable’ living in the Spanish capital. Moreover, it’s still ‘necessary for the 24-year-old footballer to give Klopp the OK’.
