As per reports from Football Insider, West Ham have submitted a loan offer for Liverpool player, Fabio Carvalho.
The 20-year-old was previously approached by Leipzig, whose offer was rejected by Liverpool. Now, the likes of Brentford and Burnley have also made inquiries about the playmaker over a loan move.
However, the German side are expected to return with a much-improved offer against the £10m they bid last time.
Liverpool are currently weighing up the decision to either loan Carvalho out or sell him permanently this summer with a buy-back option.
Fabio Carvalho to leave Liverpool this summer?
The Portuguese arrived last summer from Fulham after impressing with the Cottagers in the Championship. The 20-year-old was bought for a fee of £5m.
During his two years with the London club, Carvalho made 44 appearances for the side and scored 12 goals with a further eight assists.
He was even named the PFA Championship Team of the Year in the 2021/22 season. He majorly contributed to Fulham’s promotion to the Premier League.
However, he struggled with game-time in his first season at Anfield. He only made 20 appearances across all competitions for a total of 638 minutes.
He started the season by featuring in 10 of Liverpool’s first 11 PL games but his chances soon dried up. The 20-year-old has also been part of Portugal U21s and was even named in the preliminary 55-man squad of Portugal for the World Cup.
Given the situation at Liverpool, the attacking prowess of the player might be needed. However, with the addition of Mac Allister and potential new signings, the player might struggle with the game time.
There have been reports suggesting that the Reds are getting closer to signing the French duo, Kone and Thuram. If that happens, then there would be very little playtime for the Portuguese.
It would be better for the midfielder to gain experience by going out on loan and coming back a better first-team player.
