Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Nice’s Khephren Thuram and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone over a potential transfer this summer.

The Merseysiders are interested in the 22-year-old French midfield duo. The Reds had paused their talks as they were focused on completing the transfer of Mac Allister. Now that the Argentine’s move from Brighton is completed, Klopp is now looking to seal the signings of Kone and Thuram.

Moreover, Mac Allister has labeled his move to Anfield as ‘a dream come true’.

“It feels amazing. It’s a dream come true, it’s amazing to be here and I can’t wait to get started. I wanted to be in [from] the first day of pre-season, so it’s good that everything is done. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates.

It was a fantastic year for me – World Cup, what we achieved with Brighton – but now it’s time to think about Liverpool and try to be a better player and a better human being every day.”

Double delight for Liverpool over Kone and Thuram

As per Ben Jacobs, the Reds are moving swiftly in the transfer market to secure their key midfield targets.

“Liverpool are doing what they always do: moving fast, under the radar and smartly. They are constantly window planning.

Liverpool are considering other midfielders and have discussed both Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone or Nice’s Khephren Thuram”

As per Fabrizio Romano also, Liverpool have held direct talks with the representatives of Kone and could even come up with an official offer.

Over the past weeks, German news sources have reported that the Reds might have to bid around £39m for Kone.

Meanwhile, reports from France have reported that a fee of £52m might be sufficient to bring Thuram to Anfield.

The duo are with the French U21 team and could come back to play in the Premier League next season. The Liverpool boss also seems to be impressed with the French duo. Moreover, the new sporting director, Jörg Schmadtke seems to have a plan to get Liverpool where they belonged previously.

The two players are very close and often boast themselves to be like brothers. Also, they play for the U21 side on the international stage. Could they be soon playing for the same club? We need to wait and see.
