Liverpool will join the race to sign Brighton’s Moises Caicedo if they lose both Jordan Henderson and Fabinho this summer.
It has been a barrage of rumours for the Reds’ fans with the news of Saudi’s interest in both Henderson and Fabinho.
However, as per TalkSPORT, now the Reds could turn their attention to the Brighton man, Moises Caicedo.
Klopp is reportedly ‘considering’ joining in the race for the Ecuadorian, should his midfield duo depart.
However, Liverpool aren’t the only ones in the race with Chelsea and Arsenal interested for the player too.
Many reports have suggested that Pochettino’s side are the favourites to land the 21-year-old this summer.
Liverpool back in the race for Caicedo
Liverpool had reportedly given up on Caicedo and were seemingly interested in landing the French duo of Kone and Thuram.
After signing Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, the Reds need a defensive midfielder.
Moreover, the news of Henderson and Fabinho seemingly leaving the club has left a void. The German is now looking to enter the race for Moises Caicedo.
Meanwhile, the Merseysiders are also interested in the 19-year-old Romeo Lavia who is said to be interested in a move to the PL club.
However, the inexperience of Lavia is something to rethink. The 19-year-old would perhaps be taking on too much in replacing Fabinho.
However, with Caicedo, the player seems to be more ready to get into the first XI. He is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder and has been one of the best in the business in the Prem.
But the asking price for the Ecuadorian is quite high which is around £100m. This might be a concern for the Reds after having already spent nearly £100m on two players.
Also, there might be no chance of the price being reduced as Chelsea are still very much involved in the deal.
