Liverpool are reportedly ready to make Aurelien Tchouameni a serious transfer target this summer, but only if Real Madrid put the midfielder up for sale.
According to the Telegraph, Jurgen Klopp remains interested in the French international. But a move for Tchouameni will only be possible if Los Blancos list the 23-year-old in the transfer market.
Klopp and Liverpool came close to signing Tchouameni last summer before Madrid hijacked the deal.
The Spanish team managed to bring the-then AS Monaco star to Santiago Bernabeu, with the Reds being left empty-handed.
However, it seems like the Merseysiders haven’t given up on their interest in the French midfielder.
And now the Anfield outfit could make a move for the midfielder if Madrid decides to sell the Frenchman this summer, a prospect that is entirely likely.
Tchouameni could end up at Liverpool?
As per reports, Real Madrid are open to selling the youngster for £90m this summer. Moreover, with the recent funds acquired by the imminent sales of Henderson and Fabinho, the Reds could manage to go for the 23-year-old.
The Los Blancos would also be in need of funds as their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe hasn’t taken a back step. This could be a great step for all the parties.
Not just Liverpool, Bayern are also said to be interested in the midfielder. However, many reports are suggesting that the Frenchman is not willing to move away from the club.
A win-win-win for all parties?
This deal could ideally work out for all the parties involved. Liverpool are in the market for a midfielder or two and who better than Tchouameni?
The La Liga club is looking to raise funds for their ultimate target, Mbappe. Also, with a move to Anfield, the player would be a regular name in the starting XI.
That would be something that he wouldn’t be able to achieve at Madrid after the signing of Bellingham.
Of course, it could all come down to if Madrid thinks selling Tchouameni will finally help them sign Mbappe.
Liverpool could hit the jackpot by bringing Tchouameni to Merseyside this summer if the Madrid club goes after the PSG star this summer.
