Liverpool have reportedly made an approach to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade, with Fulham also joining the race for the Brazilian youngster.
As per Football Transfers, the Reds have been in contact with the South American side over signing the 22-year-old. He is tipped to be on his way to the PL if Liverpool could meet the club’s £20m asking price.
As per the reports though, the Brazilian giants are not willing to let go of their star asset until the January transfer window.
Moreover, Liverpool aren’t the only one chasing the Brazilian. The London clubs Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham, and Fulham are also said to be interested in his services.
Andre Trindade could make his big money move to Liverpool
At 22, Andre Trindade would fit into the Liverpool squad and could pair up with their newest recruits. The likes of Mac Allister and Szoboszlai could very well push the youngster to his absolute powers.
The Brazilian would fit into the German’s style of play as he could be an ideal candidate to replace the outgoing Fabinho.
With impressive stats, the calm and composed midfielder is also labeled as a ‘leader’ by a football talent scout.
Over 11 Brasileiro Serie A appearances so far, Andre has tallied up an impressive 94% pass completion rate.
Moreover, he even successfully completed 78% of his dribbles and won 65% of his aerial and ground duels combined.
The Brazilian also averaged a whopping 87.9 touches, 68.8 accurate passes, and 2.4 tackles won per game. Indeed, all these stats demonstrate his huge presence in the centre of the pitch.
With the Liverpool skipper departing this summer, he could be the presence that Liverpool needs right now.
As a result, the signing of Andre could be a great opportunity to bring in a worthy successor for Fabinho. Also, offering Jurgen Klopp another youthful talent for the next generation of Liverpool’s success.
