Liverpool are one of the clubs that have approached to sign the Fluminense midfielder, Andre Trindade as a part of their midfield rebuild this summer.
Liverpool’s midfield rebuild has had a new update with the club seemingly interested in the 22-year-old Brazilian.
After news of Fabinho possibly on his way to Saudi Arabia, the Reds are now in the process of replacing the midfielder.
As per 90min, Liverpool will present an official proposal for the Fluminense midfielder in the coming days.
According to the reports, it is claimed that Fulham are pushing to sign the player this summer.
However, Liverpool, Barcelona, Atletico, Tottenham, and West Ham are also in contact with the player’s representatives.
The Brazilian outfit have set the asking price to be around £25m for the player to part ways.
Andre: a new name for Liverpool
Andre Trindade has risen through the ranks at Fluminense’s youth set-up and has become a stand-out performer in the first team.
He has made 141 appearances for the club and also earned a Brazil call-up, making his debut last month.
The 22-year-old is an energetic midfielder with almost all of his experience in the defensive position. He predominantly plays in front of the back-four as a deep-lying midfielder.
A football talent scout, Jacek Kulig even called the player a ‘leader.’
Over 11 Brasileiro Serie A appearances so far, Andre has tallied up an impressive 94% pass completion rate.
Moreover, he even successfully completed 78% of his dribbles and won 65% of his aerial and ground duels combined.
The Brazilian also averaged a whopping 87.9 touches, 68.8 accurate passes, and 2.4 tackles won per game. Indeed, all these stats demonstrate his huge presence in the centre of the pitch.
Liverpool have already sanctioned the departures of James Milner, Naby Keita, and Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.
However, this week it has been heavily reported that both Jordan Henderson and Fabinho could also be heading for an exit with offers from the Saudi Pro League.
As a result, the signing of Andre could be a great opportunity to bring in a worthy successor for Fabinho. Also, offering Jurgen Klopp another youthful talent for the next generation of Liverpool’s success.
