Liverpool are ready to collide head on with Nottingham Forest in an exciting PL clash at City Ground amid several injury concerns and potential lineup change.
The Reds return to PL action as they take on Forest with a depleted squad marred by injuries to several star players.
However, on a much positive note, a few key players are expected to make return which will be crucial in order to secure the three points.
A victory will give the Merseysiders a temporary four-point advantage over Manchester City. But it would not be easy as the club lost at City Ground last season.
So a victory would keep their title hopes alive as we move towards the last leg of the 2023-24 season.
How Liverpool Can Lineup Against Nottingham Forest: Victory In Mind
Goalkeeper: Caoimhin Kelleher
The Irishman has been deputized in place of no. 1 goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who has been injured.
Kelleher has been doing an excellent job as he showed his determination between the sticks against Chelsea in Carabao Cup final and in recent FA Cup clash against Southampton.
Defense: Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley
Captain Virgil van Dijk was substituted at half-time against Southampton as Ibrahima Konate replaced him to keep him fresh for this match.
Andy Robertson missed the match due to illness but that was nothing serious as he will be back in action.
Conor Bradley will continue to feature as right-back in absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold who is out due to injury.
Midfield: Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai
Wataru Endo received a minor knock in his ankle in the Carabao Cup final and left the stadium wearing protective boot. But he will be available for the match as he trained with the first-team prior to the match.
Even though Alexis Mac Allister suffered the same illness as Robertson before the Southampton match, he made a 45-minute cameo. After many matches he is finally expected to feature as a no. 8 ahead of Endo.
Dominik Szoboszlai, after being out for six straight matches, is finally going to appear as he also joined the first-team training on Friday.
Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic still remain sidelined due to injuries.
Joe Gomez, James McConnell and Bobby Clark will be available on the bench for Klopp to utilize.
Attack: Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Harvey Elliott
Luis Diaz will be fulfilling the role of left-winger for LFC. Cody Gakpo is predicted to start as the striker.
Mohamed Salah is still unfit and Harvey Elliott will continue to feature as the right-winger.
Darwin Nunez is fit to start yet Klopp might want to use his secret weapon for the later half. Young guns like Jayden Danns and Lewis Koumas might also get a chance to show their worth.
Predicted Lineup: Kelleher; Robertson, Van Dijk, Konate, Bradley, Mac Allister, Endo, Szoboszlai; Diaz, Gakpo, Elliott.
