The Midfielder saga continues, Liverpool are now ready to offer €30m (including bonuses) in order to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade in this transfer window.
The Reds are keen to sign another defensive midfielder in this summer’s transfer window after successfully securing Wataru Endo’s deal.
As per whoscored, Andre’s strengths are Passing, Dribbling, Through balls, and Concentration. While talking about Weaknesses, there is only one and that is Aerial Duels.
The Merseysiders are eyeing a midfielder who can win them balls by intercepting in the middle of the park and passing the ball in the final-third department.
This is what Fabinho use to do for Jurgen Klopp and thus, the Brazilian was considered a key part of the first-team.
Now that Fab has gone, the German is looking after a proper holding midfielder.
Fluminense does not want to sell Andre Trindade this summer
Fluminense have renewed their desire to keep midfielder Andre Trindade at least for this summer, according to Globo.
The Brazilian has been linked to Liverpool this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his midfield. This summer, Wataru Endo joined Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai as newcomers to Anfield.
Prior to the Japanese captain’s departure, Andre was one of the players coveted by Liverpool, along with Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo.
According to the source, Liverpool indicated a sum of around €30 million (£25 million), including bonuses, but the Serie A club reinforced their view that Andre will not be transferred until the end of the current season in South America.
Thus, if the Reds now want the midfielder this summer, they will have to trigger his €40 million release clause. This is the only way remaining for Liverpool if they want Andre at Anfield before September 1.
However, with other targets still alive, it doesn’t look like the PL club will opt to pay for the release clause.
Although, the Jurgen Klopp-led side can negotiate a deal for Andre in the January transfer window.
Liverpool is my Religion and Anfield is my Church. 17th May 1996 the date I had my blood coloured red. The one you love the most you can not live without it and that is football to me.
