Liverpool target Johan Bakayoko has firmly decided that he will not be leaving Dutch side PSV, even if his suitors made a £100M offer.

The Anfield giants successfully completed the transfer window and went into the international break maintaining a 3-game winning streak.

The Reds comfortably won the match against Aston Villa with a 3-0 scoreline. Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah were the goalscorers for the team.

Amid all the speculations about the Egyptian international’s future, the club has made it very clear that he is not for sale.

However, there are many names that have come up as options to replace the 31-year-old if he leaves in the upcoming season.

And PSV attacker Johan Bakayoko has been identified as one of them.

Liverpool target Johan Bakayoko chooses to stay at PSV

Bakayoko is aware of the situation and has chosen to focus on his PSV career for now. While speaking to NOS, the Belgian attacker stated,

“Of course, quite a lot has happened. It was busy around me. But we managed to stay focused.

I made that decision (to stay) at the beginning of the transfer window. Of course, when you get offers like that, people think you’re attracted to them. But I’ve never changed my mind.

My intention was to stay at PSV, to become champions here and to get as far as possible in the Champions League.”

The 20-year-old has also garnered interest from Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspurs, Everton and Burnley.

Bakayoko clearly spoke about his intentions at the current moment. He stated,

“Yes, (£33 million) is quite a high amount. But I am a footballer and I focus on the field.

They can offer forty, fifty or a £100 million. I have made the decision to stay.”

By the looks of it, the youngster has no intention of moving anywhere this season. However, if the club identifies him as Salah’s replacement then they should act upon it quickly as soon as the next summer window opens.
