Liverpool star Elliott played a near perfect game for England U21
Elliott got his first goal in first-half injury time, firing into the top-corner of the opposition net from range. His next contribution was a cross for Jonathan Rowe’s 89th-minute header. Later, the Liverpool ace wrapped up the score in the 91st minute with a calm finish.
The Young Lions actually conceded first in the 27th minute and trailed into the latter stages of the first half. However, Jaden Philogene struck back in the 38th minute, and from then on, the floodgates well and truly opened.
Him, Elliott and Noni Madueke all ended the game with a brace to their names. Liam Delap, Nathan Rowe and Luka Subotic’s own goal kept the scoreline ticking for Lee Carsley’s side.
However, Elliott was rewarded a perfect 10/10 game by Sofascore as he played one of the best games of his career. He took 94 touches of the ball, registered five key passes, delivered four accurate long balls and three accurate crosses.
