Liverpool now linked with Seria A star midfielder once again

Liverpool once again turns to Napoli’s star midfielder Piotr Zielinski as they look to address their midfield problem.
Rudy Galetti’s report
According to the Italian journalist Rudy Galetti- rudygaletti.com, Merseyside giants head coach Jurgen Klopp’s shortlist of targets to boost the Reds midfield remains ‘full of names’.
However, many still believe including Anfield Home that Jude Bellingham is the top priority for Liverpool at the moment.
Alongside Bellingham, Moises Caicedo of Brighton and Florentina’s Sofyan Amrabat are also reportedly being ‘closely monitored.’
Liverpool on Piotr Zielinski
The English side is still trying for one last time to make a move for Piotr Zielinski in 2023. They were highly linked by the Udinese player back in 2016. Zielinski was even pictured wearing the Reds shirt during a pre-season match.
The move was nearly materialized in the end, with the Polish midfield joining the Italian side. As s result of this transfer failure the Reds side went on to sign Holland international Gini Wijnaldum.
Zielinski’s Italian success
Since that transfer failure, the Polish midfield has been a key player in Naples. Having only missed 12 League games in six-and-a-half seasons, he’s one of the first names on the team sheet for the Seria A side. And now the 29-year-old has been linked with the Reds in the intervening years once again.
But as the midfielder has now moved into the late twenties the Reds might have second thoughts on hiring his services. However, no one can deny his quality on the pitch.
Once the Polish legend Zbigniew Boiek said that the midfield is
“Better than Kevin De Bruyne”.
With a year left on his contract in Naples, the Polish could be on the market for a decent price.
Now Klopp’s side has to decide whether a 28-year-old will be helpful for the Reds or a young is what the Merseyside club is looking after.
