Liverpool are looking to reform their midfield and this could begin by signing Juventus star Manuel Locatelli.

According to Calciomercatoweb Locatelli is under Red’s manager Jurgen Klopp’s radar. The German genius has to reform his midfield and defense in this upcoming transfer window and the Juventus midfielder could be a perfect fit for that.

Why Manuel Locatelli?

The 25-year-old is “essential to Allegri” but that does not mean he can not move to Anfield. The Italian has played 20 matches in the Serie A, where he has a PrgP of 84 and a PrgC of 19.

The current Juventus midfielder could be available for as little as £31M, according to reports.

The Reds need players and getting a quality player at such a low price is a dream come true for both FSG and Liverpool fans. The Italian is currently on loan to Juventus from Sassuolo after arriving from an initial deal in August 2021. The Old Lady needs to pay £21M through an obligation to buy this year. The deal can also include up to £11M in add-ons.

The transfer race is on

While according to reports, the Reds are not the only ones who are interested in the 25-year-old. Other Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United are also interested in the current Italian giant’s midfielder.

Liverpool have already lost a transfer battle against their arch-rivals Chelsea. LFC’s key winter transfer target Enzo Fernandez joined the Blues after a couple of failed attempts from the Merseyside giants.

This time around the same scenario could take place. As the advantage the other two Premier League contenders have is the Champions League football. Both Arsenal and Newcastle United are expected to finish in the top 4. On the other hand, the Reds most likely to finish in the Europa League spot.

However, Liverpool are gaining some winning momentum in the PL. The Reds have now kept four successful clean-sheets in their last 4 fixture of the English league.

While at the same time, no one can deny Jurgen Klopp’s pull and his ability to transform the player into a legend. Will the Reds be able to pull up this transfer?
