Liverpool Ready To Win The Race For €60M Midfielder Ahead Of Juventus!

Liverpool are reportedly ready to outbid Juventus in the race for the signing of €60M-priced Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.

The Reds have finally completed the process of securing the managerial service of Dutch manager Arne Slot along with his two associates.

Slot, the current manager of Eredivisie side Feyenoord, will be joining the Merseyside club at the end of this season against a reported compensation fee of €13M paid to the Dutch club.

The club has successfully completed the first and foremost task of finding a replacement for the beloved manager Jurgen Klopp for the initiation of the post-Klopp era.

Now the club has the job of finding and acquiring the correct resources which will be instrumental in the process of Arne Slot’s stride toward success.

Teun Koopmeiners To Liverpool Instead Of Juventus?

In order to provide the 45-year-old with the necessary tools to compete at the highest level of English and European football, the club has identified Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.

Earlier reports had suggested that LFC have been in the lead to sign the Dutch midfielder ahead of Italian giants Juventus.

Additionally, a recent report via Italian media outlet Sport Mediaset has confirmed that the Anfield club is ready to meet the €60M (£51.3M) asking price for Koopmeiners.

Juventus, even though had set their sight on the 26-year-old as a prime target, will not be able to compete with the financial backbone of Liverpool.

The Dutch international has already shown his excellence on the pitch against the Merseysiders as the Italian side ran over the English side in the Europa League clashes.

Koopmeiners is also interested in exiting Atalanta this summer as he said,

“I have told Atalanta that I want to leave the club in the summer. I hope there will be options to consider this year… I’ve had an amazing time at Atalanta and I hope they will get a big sum.”

Furthermore, Arne Slot has managed the midfielder during his time at AZ Alkmaar and even made him the captain of the side.

So, the transition phase at Liverpool although would not be easy, it would most definitely be a great progress to keep an eye on.
