Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp provides a crucial injury update prior to the Reds’ PL clash against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Liverpool had a slow start to the PL season as they drew 1-1 to Chelsea. And this is not the result Jurgen Klopp and Co. would have hoped for to kick-off their new campaign.
Fortunately, the Anfield giants did not receive any massive injury concerns in the pre-season. And this has followed through so far, the club’s overall squad fitness looks quite strong at the moment.
Also in the clash against the Blues there were no injury issues in the squad.
As the weekend approaches, the Merseysiders will be looking forward to facing Bournemouth on Saturday and win the game.
Injury Update: Liverpool vs Bournemouth
As the second game of the PL is around the corner, the Reds coach has disseminated an injury update. Prior to the press conference, he commented on Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago’s situation.
Both Bajcetic and Thiago are recovering from knee and hip injuries respectively which they suffered towards the end of last season.
Klopp said, ‘they are close, but not ready yet’ as they are developing and training.
So it is clear that the midfield duo would be unavailable this weekend.
While speaking about the new signing Wataru Endo and his physical condition on Liverpool’s official website, Klopp said,
“Yeah, he had a full pre-season. I’m not sure he played all the pre-season games but he played pre-season games, so that’s all.
He was in full training. When we spoke first time, he came off the training pitch! He’s in a good shape.
Of course we need to figure out how quick can we put him in, but it will not be a physical problem, let me say it like that.”
So it is pretty sure that the Japanese international will be getting his Liverpool debut this Saturday. The Merseysiders should win the match with ease.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
