Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp offered support to rival manager, Erik Ten Hag, with the talks of him getting sacked increasing daily.

The Old Trafford side face a daunting task of facing Klopp’s Liverpool this weekend. Ten Hag’s side have lost their last two fixtures at Anfield with an aggregate score of 11-0. Moreover, their recent results have not helped them boost their confidence.

Man United have exited the Champions League with a defeat to Bayern in the group stage on Wednesday.

Additionally, United have lost 12 of their last 24 games this season across all competitions. The Manchester club is out of the Champions League and the League Cup and currently sits in the 6th spot in the league table.

A defeat to Liverpool could see them slip to 9th, should the teams below them take all three points in their respective games. Hence, the manager’s position is in jeopardy, with many reports suggesting Graham Potter could replace Ten Hag.

As per Sky Sports, a decision on the Dutchman will not be made until Ratcliffe’s partial takeover has been done. However, Ratcliffe and INEOS director of sport, Sir Dave Brailsford, have the idea of appointing Graham Potter. Hence, this would leave Ten Hag vulnerable if the poor results continue.

Player Rejects Saudi Offer, Aspires for Liverpool Renewal

However, as per Liverpool’s boss, talks of Manchester United in crisis are baffling to him. Klopp said that United have picked up 9 points out of a possible 9 in November. Moreover, he pointed out that Ten Hag’s side did all this without conceding a single goal.

As quoted by Manchester Evening News, Klopp also said that the Dutchman won the Manager of the Month in November. Moreover, United’s center-back, Harry Maguire, was named Player of the Month last time.

“I never like when the headlines about United are not great before we play because then it is the game where they can put everything right.

I don’t follow United closely enough to know what’s the problem there. But I saw Erik ten Hag became manager of the month last month, I saw they were the team in form last month. How can it be all wrong? I just don’t understand it.

‘You’re not winning the Premier League’: Pundit says Liverpool won’t win title if £16m player starts regularly

The 7-0 (March 5, 2023) we knew on the day was a freakish result that happens once in a life pretty much. If it helps anybody for the next game, it’s the team who lost 7-0 and not the team who won.

If we just play a football game against the historical rival at home at Anfield, that itself makes it a special game and that’s what I want to see – a special game.”
