Journalist Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Liverpool will face issues signing Fluminese midfielder Andre Trindade this summer.
The Reds have been proactive in the transfer market this summer. They have successfully signed Argentine Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.
And as they are working towards a midfield rebuild, they need at least another midfield signing. And several names have surfaced in recent weeks.
The obvious and most wanted choice for the Anfield giants is Romeo Lavia. And recent reports showed that the Merseysiders have shown interest in Brazilian midfielder Andre Trindade.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported the latest update regarding Andre.
Fabrizio confirms Liverpool might fail to sign Fluminese man Andre
While speaking on his Substack Daily Briefing, Romano said,
“Another midfielder being linked with Liverpool is 22-year-old Brazilian talent Andre. But my understanding is that it’s nothing concrete.
I’m told in a very clear way that Fluminense want to keep Andre at least until the January transfer window.
So it’s something more than difficult for Liverpool or any club.”
Fluminese are trying their best to keep the 22-year-old at the club as the Brazilian Serie A is just halfway through the season.
The club is currently sitting at 5th place and fighting to secure and finish top-4. And the Algodao-born midfielder is one of the key players for them.
This will definitely create some trouble for Liverpool if they decide to sign the midfielder. The Merseysiders are still trying to pursue Romeo Lavia who would cost almost £50M.
And Brazil international will cost a lot less than the Belgian international as he is valued at around £34M. However, Lavia should be the top priority of the Reds.
Even if Liverpool considers Andre a serious target, the club should pursue him after securing the Lavia signing.
