Liverpool have been chasing the Belgian, Romeo Lavia for a very long time now and there seems to be a bit of progress from the player’s end.
The 19-year-old player has reportedly told Southampton that he wants to join the former PL Champions.
The midfielder is on the Reds’ top priority list after the exits of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. The experienced duo left for Saudi Arabia after their glorious years at the club.
So far though, Klopp’s side have seen two bids turned down for the brilliant midfielder by the Championship side.
Even though the Saints were relegated last time from the Premier League, the Belgian was amazing for the South Coast side. Hence, they are reportedly holding out for £50 million to let go of the teenager.
Liverpool to make a third bid for Romeo Lavia
As per Belgian-based reporter, Sacha Tavolieri, the Reds are ready to increase their bid but wouldn’t go any higher than £40m plus add-ons.
Tavolieri took to twitter to share the news with all.

Lavia joined Southampton from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 for a fee of up to £14 million.
The 19-year-old made a total of 33 appearances for the Saints and was one of their star performers despite the club being demoted to the Championship.
During the campaign, he won his maiden cap for the Belgium senior side.
Meanwhile, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea have also been linked with Lavia along with Liverpool.
As the competition for his signatures increases, the Reds will now need to act quickly.
