The 2022/23 FA Cup final is expected to take place on Saturday, June 3 at Wembley.

The highly-anticipated final will wrap up the domestic season of English football and the winners will end their campaign on a high note.

FA Cup final – A flashback

Last year the FA Cup final was nothing less than a rollercoaster ride. It was a match of fierce rivalry between two English giants Liverpool and Chelsea. The current holders of this title are the Merseyside side giants. They beat the Blues 6-5 on penalties following a 0-0 draw.

This year the Reds have the opportunity to defend their title. They are still in the competition thanks to Harvey Elliott’s sensational strike at Molineux.

Liverpool might have to play two finals quite frequently. The 2022/23 FA Cup final will be held on June 3, just a few days before this season’s Champions League final on June 10.

The FA Cup is currently in the fourth round with ties taking place between the 27th and 30th of January.

Who will Liverpool face in the next round

Liverpool are going to face Brighton in the next round of FA Cup.

The Reds are going to face Roberto De Zerbi’s side at the Amex on Sunday, January 29th. Jurgen Klopp’s side has only won once in their last six clashes with Brighton, that being a 2-0 victory at the Amex in March 2022.

The Merseyside giants last played against the Seagulls in the FA Cup back in 2012. The Reds won that game thanks to Martin Skrtel, Andy Carrol, Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, and own goals from Liam Bridcutt & Lewis Dunk that sealed a 6-1 for the Reds side.

But that time has passed and the Seagulls are no more an underdog side. Both the PL sides will be looking for a win. The Reds will particularly be looking to seal for revenge after a humiliating 3-0 loss that they faced from De Zebri’s side back on January 14th.
